When it comes clothing stores, Revolve is easily in my top five. The pieces are high-quality, they ship super fast (it’s true two-day shipping—none of that “dependent on item” nonsense that Nordstrom frequently pulls) and the company always has its pulse on the hottest trends of the moment. The only problem? The best items are often on the pricier side. While it’s true that you get what you pay for, without the ever-elusive sale, you’ll be lucky to get a good dress (or a shirt. Or a pair of pants) here for less than $100. Look hard enough, however, and there are some affordable gems to be found. In fact, after combing through 17 pages of the best Revolve dresses the site has to offer, I found 20 that will be absolutely perfect for spring. Better yet? They’re all less than $200.
Whether you’re looking for something breezy and strapless, like this baby blue Susana Monaco frock (was $188, now $138) or a something casual you can throw on and go in, like this chic little striped piece (was $132, now $93), you can get it within budget right now from the store’s sale section. See for yourself below!
The Best Revolve Dresses for Spring 2024
1. LPA Adalyn Dress
Any old midi dress will lend itself well to transitional dressing—just throw a leather or jean jacket over the top and you’ll be good to go. I like that this one has the added element of comfort, though, thanks to its elastic straps and waist. Better yet, the soft blue hue is perfectly timed for spring 2024’s breakaway from the loud, statement-making neons of 2023 (I’m looking at you, Barbiecore). The only thing I don’t like about this dress? The fact that it’s hand-wash only. Even with a steam closet of my very own, I much prefer a lower-maintenance (read: throw it in the washing machine and be done with it) kind-of frock.
- Sizes: S to XL
- Fit: Runs large
- Material: Polyester and elastane
2. Tiare Hawaii Bellini Dress
This is exactly the kind of getup I’d pack struggle to shove into my perpetually overstuffed suitcase for a tropical vacation: It’s fun, it’s flirty and it’s less than $50. The smocked bust and nearly open back make it somewhat flexible when it comes to the sizing (hence why this model with a 23-inch waist is able to fit into the S/M), and the halter neck and back ties allow for even more of a custom fit. While it’s not particularly thin (I own it), it’s definitely not lined, so you’re probably going to want to wear it over a bathing suit—a small price to pay to the fashion gods for offering up this little beauty at 64 percent off.
- Sizes: S/M to M/L
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Cotton blend
3. Bobi Halter Dress
If you ask me, this mini gown deserves a place not only in your shopping cart, but on Mount Olympus. (Can you say Grecian goddess?) It’s also a dead ringer for an Anine Bing dress I paid far too much for, but comes at a fraction of the price thanks to its $51 discount. Though the halter neckline has some detractors, who say it looks like “more of a keyhole” on bustier women, I suspect that smaller-chested gals like myself may find it to be just right. I also like the tulip-shaped hem, which gives it a little something *extra,* don’t cha think?
- Sizes: XS to L
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Rayon and viscose
4. Faithfull the Brand San Paolo Dress
Even mob wife wannabes like myself won’t be able resist the allure of a bright, springy print, like the one seen on this green-and-white maxi, come warmer weather. Sadly, based on the model’s height of 5 foot 9 inches, it’s sure to suit tall gals far better than shorties. (There’s also a cropped version available, but only if you can squeeze into a XS or S.) But hey, that’s what the tailor is for, am I right? The straps are adjustable (always a plus for getting a better fit in the chest area), and it’s made of a 100 percent bamboo rayon that’s Oeko Tex-certified, which, ICYWW, is basically a fancy way of saying that it’s been tested for harmful substances.
- Sizes: XS to L
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Bamboo rayon
5. Steve Madden Puffer Than You Dress
Prairie dresses have been having an (extended) moment in the sun for the last few years, and this Steve Madden version is a far less homely iteration of the style than most I’ve seen. Listen, I tried to get on board with the trend. I even bough a few of them, but they turned out to be about as flattering as a sheet or a paper sack on my petite frame. This one, though—this one has hope: There’s actually (gasp!) some shape under those ¾-length puff sleeves, no doubt thanks to its smocked back. It’s 100 percent cotton, so despite the label’s hand-wash only instructions, you can probably get away with throwing it in the machine (don’t quote me), and it’s also fully lined. Just note that it’s not likely to ship before March 29, as most sizes are only available for pre-order.
- Sizes: XS to XL
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Cotton
6. 525 Charlotte Dress
If this orange Sorbet-colored midi doesn’t make you immediately want to board a sun-soaked yacht and drown your cares in a pink margarita with extra salt, I just don’t know what will. A midweight knit, it can easily double as a bathing suit cover, and you can wash it in the machine (hallelujah!), so it won’t be relegated to your dirty clothes pile all season long (no judgment). The discount isn’t nearly as impressive as some of the others on this list, but as my mother loves to remind me, something is always better than nothing.
- Sizes: XS to M
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Acrylic and polyester
7. BCBGeneration Off-the-Shoulder Dress
I’m a straight-up sucker for an off-the-shoulder neckline—particularly when its lined with elastic that enables it to actually stay where it’s supposed to. The waist of this sweet little eyelet-adorned frock is also elastic, but if that doesn’t provide a snug enough fit, you can make it tighter with the detachable belt. That’s good news, too, since most reviewers say this baby runs a bit large, particularly in the bust.
- Sizes: XXS to L
- Fit: Runs large
- Material: Polyester and spandex
8. Lovers and Friends Amity Dress
Beach, you’ve met your match. This sunny little number is *exactly* the type of getup I plan on living in this March in Florida. It’s got tassels. An elastic waist. A punchy striped print. Yes, the single strap will give you a murderous back tan line, and you’re supposed to wash it by hand (ugh). And sure, reviewers say it runs a bit snug. But if it’s as cute in person as Revolve shoppers say it is, it just might be worth it.
- Sizes: XS to XL
- Fit: Runs small
- Material: Viscose
9. ASTR the Label Viona Dress
Ladies, you didn’t think I’d write an entire shopping post without giving you what we all dream of, did you? This. Dress. Has. POCKETS. Little slanty ones, at the side. There’s also apparently a little ruched drawstring at the neckline to help you keep the top in place. If you guessed that short gals will have to hem it, you’re probably right—reviewers say it’s a bit too long, even with heels. You’ll also have to wait a bit to wear it—it’s not due to ship out before the end of the month.
- Sizes: XS to L
- Fit: True to size
Material: Cotton blend
10. Line & Dot Edith Dress
Of all the Revolve sale dress gems on this list, this one just might be the most versatile: I would wear this baby all year-round. It could easily be converted into a top for fall or winter with a pair of black leggings or kept as a dress with tights. The cotton blend feels like more of a sweater material (or so say reviewers) and the less than $100 sale tag is not a bad price at all for something you can wear through all four seasons. Besides—stripes are kind of my jam.
- Sizes: XS to L
- Fit: Runs large
- Material: Cotton blend
11. BCBGeneration Tiered Dress
This is the kind of dress that makes me wish I wasn’t quite so short. At 5 foot 2 inches tall (I’m being generous), it would undoubtedly drag the ground behind me (always check the model height folks—she’s 5 foot 9 inches). And yet, I can’t stop daydreaming about the aquamarine color and the half-open back. Should you be blessedly tall and have impending European travel plans, I implore you, buy this dress for your trip and let me live vicariously through you.
- Sizes: XS to XL
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Polyester
12. Show Me Your Mumu Jessa Dress
Retro vibes, anyone? Maybe it’s the putrid green color or maybe it’s the little rainbows and mountains that are stretched across the cotton and linen fabric, but I can absolutely picture this on Marcia Brady. That said, Marcia had style, and between the fashion moments on Daisy Jones & the Six (go watch it immediately if you haven’t already) and the ‘70s revival running rampant at the Chloé fall 2024 fashion show, her look also just so happens to be rather current.
- Sizes: XS to XXL
- Fit: Runs small
- Material: Cotton, linen and polyester
13. Susana Monaco High-Low Dress
Simple? Yes. Stunning? Also yes. Susana Monaco is a brand that can do no wrong in my eyes and this dress is a prime example of why. On the surface, it’s just a basic strapless blue frock, and yet somehow, it looks regal enough that I can picture Meghan Markle swanning about in it on a sunny day. (She never did give give a f*ck about following the royal “no shoulder” rule.) I don’t even like blue and it’s making me swoon. And you can easily wash it. *Contented sigh.*
- Sizes: XS to XL
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Nylon and spandex
14. Superdown Essie Dress
Found: Your date night smoking gun. This saucy number brings the heat with its single-shoulder and stomach cutout design. It’s fully lined (no photo surprises here), and you can easily adjust the top to best fit your assets. Polyester doesn’t perform the best in humidity (it tends to trap odors and bacteria—yuck), but for just under $75 on “sale” (you’re not fooling us with that $4 discount, Revolve—*eye roll*), I’d willingly take the risk.
- Sizes: XS to L
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Polyester
15. Young Fabulous & Broke Willa Dress
It’s basically a scientific fact that everyone looks great in a wrap dress—just ask Diane von Furstenberg. The linen fabric of this one reportedly isn’t the most luxurious feeling, but it should at least be breathable enough to get you through a beachy brunch. (Grapefruit mimosas for life.) There’s an elastic waistband at the back and it’s machine-washable, but fair warning: Zoom in close enough and you can see that this baby *will* wrinkle, and fast. Perhaps it’s time to invest in that nifty Nori press?
- Sizes: XS to L
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Linen and rayon
16. ASTR the Label Amalea Dress
No, you’re not seeing double—this one looks strikingly similar to no. 3. So why am I including it again? Well, this version has a slit, of course! All jokes aside, I’m a fan of the ASTR brand (one can never go wrong with cute-yet-affordable), so I can vouch for the quality despite the lack of reviews, I like the subtle ruffles along the bodice and the print reminds me of Easter. When it comes to figuring out how to lace up those intricate-looking back straps, however, you’re on your own—I can barely be bothered to fiddle with a necklace clasp, let alone figure this sh*t out.
- Sizes: S to XL
- Fit: TBD
- Material: Viscose, polyester and elastane
17. Karina Grimaldi Viola Dress
This is office wear at its finest, people. Impeccably tailored with a fit-and-flare style that’s especially flattering for gals with a wider hip-to-waist ratio (so, me), its hem is long enough that you won’t be flashing anyone at the copier machine. That floral pattern is also gorge. Oh. And did I mention it’s nearly $200 off? Not a bad discount, if I do say so myself!
- Sizes: XS to L
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Cotton and linen
18. More to Come Charlotte Dress
I won’t make any bones about it—this thing is short. If you’re not particular fond of your stems, this probably isn’t the frock for you. But for $59, it’s definitely worth a second look. The straps adjust (maybe you can squeeze out an extra inch of butt coverage?) and the print is cheerful enough—you’ll just have to be extra careful when sitting down. Or bending. Or … well, you get the point. (P.S.: Is my middle age showing yet?)
- Sizes: S to XL
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Polyester
19. Steve Madden Leena Dress
I’ve been writing fashion posts for a long, long time, and no matter which publication I’m writing for, this dress shape is always a top seller. Every fashion girlie, Hampton dweller and Midwest mom the world over seems to universally agree that a white cotton midi dress with an interesting neckline is *the* one piece you want to invest in come spring—and this one has a shockingly low price tag compared to the usual suspects. In fact, I’d strongly advise snatching it up in blue as well while you still can.
- Sizes: XS to M
- Fit: True to size
- Material: Cotton
20. Show Me Your Mumu Smitten Dress
Confession: I’ve never actually been on a picnic. But if I ever did, by god, this would be the perfect dress for the occasion. The chocolatey brown is a nice option for those who don’t want to swathe themselves in Easter egg pastels at the first signs of spring and it’s made with the fabric de la saison: a nice, sturdy cotton. There’s a cute little window cutout at the back for a little extra vitamin D, too.
- Sizes: S to XL
- Fit: Runs small
- Material: Rayon and spandex
