Black Friday deals can be overwhelming. (Trust me, I should know, I’ve worked at two coupon sites.) Every brand you’ve ever heard of comes out of the woodwork trying to entice you with a sale, and it’s easy to get swept up in the madness. The truth of the matter is, however, most sites aren’t offering … all that much. Sure, 30% off sounds exciting —until you realize it’s really only $7 off at checkout. I’ve shopped enough of these sales throughout my career to know that most of them? Kind of bogus.

Obviously, if it’s something you’ve been eyeing forever, use often, or planned to buy anyway, any discount is better than none.

Still, I (try) to limit myself to things that *really* constitute a “deal. Does the site rarely go on sale? Is the item something I truly want? Is it significantly discounted? If the answer to all three is no, there’s a good chance it’s just the marketing talking.

There are some diamonds in the rough, however, and to help you avoid a serious case of buyer’s remorse, I’m sharing the 20 things I picked up for Black Friday myself—and believe you me: There are some serious gems on this list.

I wasn’t planning to shop Madewell’s Black Friday sale, but frankly, the prices were too good to resist. The sale section is already marked down by up to 70% (!), but you also get an extra 40% off with code LETSGO. I picked up a nearly $80 cardigan that I know I’ll get lots of use out of for less than $50 and a new bag that looks just like a $498 Parisa Wang one I’ve been eyeing for just under $100.

I could not believe my luck when I saw that this scarf-detail coat, which I desperately longed for the instant it hit my Instagram ads, on sale for less than $50 for Black Friday. I’m a little hesitant to share it in case I ordered the wrong size and need to repurchase (H&M is all over the map for me when it comes to sizing), but it’s just too good to gatekeep!

This is one of those instances where the discount isn’t all that impressive ($11—woo!), but I needed a restock and was going to buy it anyway. This foundation tint with SPF 50 has totally replaced my regular foundation, and I wear it every single day. It’s super lightweight—I feel like I’m wearing about half of the makeup I usually wear when I have it on—yet it offers incredible coverage and doesn’t settle into fine lines.

Seemingly every influencer on the planet practically lives in these Heaven Mayhem knot earrings, so naturally, I’ve been über curious about them. (Psst—my beloved croc cherry laptop case is also on sale.)

I work with Bandolier for my day job, but I also just truly love the brand’s phone crossbodies. I find myself reaching for them over my purses the majority of the time. The built-in wallets are just so convenient, and the wristlet straps (which I actually prefer to the crossbody ones) make it a breeze to hold your phone hands-free. While the discount on this newly released Cora set is pretty minimal, the freebies alone are worth it: I got a $49 leopard tote gratis and a free $49 snowflake wristlet during a limited-time add-on special, so I actually saved $122! Other styles, like the Donna (which I also have and love), are 50% off.

6. Ring Concierge

This collab between Ring Concierge and Coco has had me in a chokehold from the moment it dropped (I’m a sucker for a good silver ring), so naturally, I had to have these statement earrings at 30% off. While they’re a bit more fragile than I’d like—the ring is nice and sturdy, the earring backs bend easily—I love that you can remove the tassels for a more everyday look, giving you two for the price of one.

As one of my most-trusted style crushes, I put a lot of stock in Coco Schiffer’s fashion recs, and she raved about this cool girl underarm clutch from The Horse. She’s quite a bit taller than I am, so TBD if it looks as chic on me as it does under her arm, but I’m incredibly hopeful!

Cider’s sale isn’t particularly mind-blowing—most styles are 25% off, though I’m sure if you dig through the dregs of the sale section long enough, you can find the elusive 70% off pick. I’ve had my eye on this holiday party dress and little plaid number long enough that I decided it was time to pick them up.

9. Gap

• The Black Friday Deal: 50% off sitewide + extra 10% off
• What I Bought: GapStudio vegan patent leather mini dress

Zac Posen has been killing it for Gap, and his campaign with Gwyneth Paltrow and Apple Martin immediately piqued my interest back in September—particularly when it came to the patent leather pieces. That said, I was hesitant to drop $150 on an outfit that I likely won’t wear too often. For 50% off plus an extra 10% with code FRIDAY, however? Sold!

10. Victoria’s Secret

There are some seriously good deals to be found in Nordstrom’s Black Friday sale right now. I picked up this little ASTR number (every girl needs an elegant LBD) and I thought the jeweled neckline of the Avec Les Filles top made for a nice little piece for the holidays.

12. Lola Blankets

• What I Bought: Desert Dune baby blanket

Now *this* is a sale. Lola Blankets is offering a whopping 55% off its entire site—no catches, no “up-tos,” just more than half off in your cart. I’ve written about this blanket before, because I’m truly obsessed with it—it feels like you’re cuddling with a furry animal, but it’s all synthetic. While they make absolutely massive ones that will cover your bed, your couch, you name it (you could wrap yourself up like a chalupa with another person and still have room to spare), stock is running low on the best colors in the larger sizes. Every once in a while, you find a brand that makes your heart go pitter-patter. Every product you try from the company leaves you more delighted than the one before it, and you start to wonder, “How did I ever live without this stuff?” Skincare junkies, you already know I’m talking about Colleen Rothschild—and through Oct. 20, the whole site is 25 percent off for the brand’s Friends & Family Colleen Rothschild sale.

The brand was kind enough to send me several of its best sellers to try ahead of the main event, and while I’m afraid I’ve officially been #blessed with yet another pricey skincare obsession (gulp), they at least turned me on to this stuff during a massive savings period.

Here’s what I’m restocking, from the tinted eye cream that’s all but banished my dark circles to the acid peel pads that now put a little extra pep in my morning step.

My Top Colleen Rothschild Sale Picks

1. Colleen Rothschild Illuminating Tinted Eye Cream

If you buy just one product from this sale, make it this tinted eye cream, a.k.a. your dark circles’ worst nightmare. The peachy-pink hue is meant to counteract those purpley blues that appear beneath your peepers on days you’re bone tired (so, every day for me), and I’m here to attest that it works. While I still pair it with a concealer, on a well-rested day, I could get away with wearing just this. It’s completely replaced the (far pricier) Murad dark circle corrector that I swore by far years, because frankly, it does a better job (though the bottle’s also way cuter.)

2. Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm

Cleansing balms and I have not gotten along historically. While they’re great for removing eye makeup, they also tend to leave my skin so oily, I just can’t stand it and wind up washing them off with my trusty M-61 Power Cleanse. I want my face to feel clean—not like I just smeared chapstick all over it.

I was fully expecting Colleen Rothschild’s cleansing balm to give me the same greasy, goopy experience as all the rest, and it did—but only for a moment. The second water hit the product, the formula transformed like magic, sudsing up and all but eliminating the grease.

If I use too much, I still have to wash a bit off (just a dab will do!), but it’s the only cleansing balm I’ve ever been able to use on my combination skin with and comfortably go to bed after. It also happens to smell heavenly, making for a genuinely pleasant bedtime wash. Needless to say, I’m hooked.

3. Colleen Rothschild Quench & Shine Restorative Mask

I am not a big hair care girlie. Give me shampoo, give me conditioner and the occasional scalp serum and I’m good to go. But this, friends. This is a shower experience. It’s the kind of haircare I imagine someone like Kate Middleton or Celine Dion—a.k.a. someone very expensive—might use. At first sniff, I thought it had a powdery scent. Once opened in the shower, however, the fragrance was more akin to warm cinnamon mixed with flowers. What’s more, it feels exactly like it smells. And somehow, it’s less than $30 on sale. Can you say “steal?”

4. Colleen Rothschild Hydrashine Lipstick Balm Trio

Colleen’s lipstick balms were another delightful surprise. They come in a black tube with a click-up application, and while they look like normal lipstick, they come out completely wet on your lips.

I chose Via dell’Amore (a light coral pink), Serengeti Blaze (a bold orange red) and Sipping Sangria (a bright red) to try. While I found Via dell’Amore to be a bit too light for my tastes, the other two pack a serious pigment punch.

Not convinced you need the whole set? (You do, but whatever.) You can also buy them as single balms for $21 right now (normally $28).

5. Colleen Rothschild Glycolic Acid Peel Pads

I am decidedly pro chemical exfoliants for brightening and dry skin, and these little alpha hydroxy acid pads are gentle enough to get the job done daily on account of the blue agave (it’s supposed to soothe irritation). While I admittedly haven’t been using these long enough to know if they’re really getting in my fine lines or addressing any hyperpigmentation, I think they definitely help to wake my skin up in the morning, keep flakes at bay and add some structure to my morning routine. You’re also getting plenty of bang for your buck here: One pad covers your entire face, and they come 60 to a jar, so really, you’ll pay less than $1 per pad during this sale.

6. Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Eye Serum

I have extremely sensitive eyes when it comes to eye serums and creams. Use the wrong one, and they’ll be watery and crusty the next morning (which, might I add, is not a particularly fun way to wake up). I can’t comment yet on this serum’s long-term results, but I can say that it’s incredibly gentle, doesn’t irritate in the slightest and absorbs like a dream despite being packed with retinol that’s formulated to boost the skin’s natural repair process. It also has something the brand is calling Cityguard that’s meant to firm and lift the area around your peepers—and who couldn’t use a little boost there?

7. Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Night Oil

Packed with nine plant-based oils plus vitamin C, plus age-fighting retinol (a form of vitamin A that’s been touted for everything from wrinkle reduction to increased cell turnover), this night oil is meant to fight age spots and dullness. I don’t know about all that (I’ve only been using it for a few weeks now), but I do know that with this one product, I feel like I’m really committing to self-care—it’s that luxurious. The texture is a little oiler than I typically go for, but since I only wear it to bed, it’s less of an issue.

There are sales—and then, there’s the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: a.k.a. the granddaddy (mommy? Mamacita?) of all fashion sales.

While it technically started on July 8 in the throes of all of the Amazon Prime Day hullabaloo, access to the sale dates is tiered. Nordstrom shoppers who spend $15,000 or more per year at the store shop first, followed by those who spend $5,000 per year, then $500, then the general public. (Currently, it’s open to everyone and runs through Aug. 3.)

That means things can get picked over, fast. Every year, this sale seems to sell out quicker and quicker—particularly if you wear a smaller size. As returns start to happen from the first wave of shoppers, however (a.k.a. right about now!), your options start to broaden.

A word of advice? If you’re shopping this sale for things for your end-of-summer vacay to Bora Bora, you’re probably going to be sorely disappointed. That’s because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is actually a preview of what will be up for grabs come fall. (Think outerwear, sweaters, boots and the like.) Basically? It’s the best of what’s to come, but at a huge discount.

Considering that there are 3,457 items to comb through (I counted!  *Wink, wink), finding the best of the best does call for some professional help. Lucky for you, I’ve not only been shopping this event for years for work (I’m a former Commerce Director for Purewow and a former deals editor for USA TODAY), I headed to the actual in-person store to try on everything I could get my hands on above and beyond the things that I had shipped.

1. Nordstrom Cashmere Lounge Set

Do I think this set is overpriced? Yes. Do I also think it’s absolutely gorgeous and a dream to wear? Yes. While I swim in most wide legs, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the XS set fit, making this an instant sale favorite. (I would fall for the pricey stuff—hmmph!)

2. Zella Straight-Leg Pants and Sweatshirt

Normally, this would not have been something I jumped to purchase—I’ve found the brand to be OK at best—but one of my favorite influencers swore up and down that if she could only repurchase one thing from the sale, this set would be it. I chose to trust her and I’ve gotta say, it lives up to the hype: It’s that perfect mix of comfy-yet-flattering.

3. Sam Edelman Suede Lucca Loafer

While I don’t wear loafers often, I kind wish I had scooped them up.

4. BP. Oversize Sweatshirt

I’m a sucker for a good graphic sweatshirt, and the burgundy hue of this one really drew me in. (Petites, there is an XXS if you prefer a more fitted look—I’m wearing the XS.)

5. Nordstrom Wool and Cashmere Sweater

I know the influencers have been raving about this one, but it was just OK for me. This is the XS, and as you can see, it’s still pretty oversized. I like my sleeves a bit longer, but the midsection just kind of hung loosely in a way that wasn’t ultra-chic or flattering. It actually looks better here than it did in the Chocolate Brown hue that I ordered, but for $160 on sale, it didn’t wow me enough to keep.

6. PJ Salvage Short Pajamas

If we’re being totally honest, I’ve had them on as an outfit all day and I’m about to wear them to bed. *Shrugs*

If you missed out on the Mother Hustlers in your size, these are a great alternative for petites. They’re also (slightly) cheaper than the Mothers I bought.

8. Petal & Pup Bella Vest

The kind of crossover shirt that works for both work and play, I feel like I’ll get a lot of use out of this one—particularly since it has the sleeveless silhouette for warmer temps. (Pst: There’s also a matching skirt though I like this one best with jeans.)

9. AllSaints Suede Moto Jacket

If you ask me, this is one of the best deals in the whole sale. It’s a closet staple, so you’ll be getting years of use out of it, and this is the only time you’re likely to see it discounted. (I got the black leather Dalby in the sale last year, and it’s been priced upwards of $500 ever since.) I *almost* wish I had waited until this year to pick this one up—the green suede is honestly just *so* chic.

10. Open Edit Shortie Pajamas

I didn’t bother buying this set, because I went so feral on last year’s version, I have a very similar three-piece in almost every color. It’s comfy, you can take the cardigan off in the summer or layer up in the winter and it looks put together enough to sign for a package. It’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever bought from Nordstrom, and I’d highly encourage you to scoop one up before it sells out.

It’s just as well that I can’t wear it, however—it looks like a tall woman special.

Somehow, some way, I’ve escaped the light therapy mask trend so far, but I feel my time has finally come. This one, which has the same red light in your handy palm-size SolaWave for a larger surface area, is supposed to fight fine lines, wrinkles and stimulate collagen production.

15. AllSaints Leather Ryder Jacket

This is just such a badass design. I’m skeptical that it will work for petites, but for the Billie Eilish types who can get away with making the most oversized of garments look effortlessly cool, this is a major “yes.” It’s also AllSaints, so you know the quality is worth the spend.

The below items ether have very limited stock or are currently sold out, but don’t lose hope—this sale is notorious for its mass returns each year that just might net you exactly what you’re after. A pro tip? Make a wish list for back-in-stock emails and check back often for your size—I’ve already scored two things that were previously unbuyable.

16. Open Edit Sweater Tank

This is one of those items that’s so much better in person than it is online—the photographs simply don’t do it justice. It’s such a great little basic, and it’s worth every penny of its discounted price. That said, the sizing is definitely off on this one. It’s only left in the xtra-small sizes because It’s tiny—like, really tiny. Mortal humans will need to size up in order to squeeze into it.

Considering that I already have a perfectly gorgeous brown suede shoulder bag, it definitely isn’t something I needed (though technically, this one’s much larger), but I couldn’t help myself. I will likely keep it for the size—it’s a good in-between bag that I don’t have a lot of.

This suede shirt might’ve set a record for quickest Anniversary Sale sellout. Just me?), but I think there are probably better options with a more flattering fit—this looks huge—out there. Still, even though I suspect I would absolutely drown in this, scarcity sparks demand, and they’ve gotten me curious enough to at least try it on should it pop back into stock…

20. WAYF Emery Vest

This is one of my favorite silhouettes, particularly come fall. This is another one that sold out way too fast, but will undoubtedly be coming back into stock as people make their exchanges

Amazon Prime Day 2025 is upon us (the sale runs from July 8 to July 11 this year), and while it’s usually full of the same old junk (does anyone really need another Echo Dot or the damn Bissell Little Green at this point?), I spent a good chunk of my Monday evening hunting down a few things I actually think are worth scooping up.

I’ve tried (and loved!) almost everything on the list below, and if I haven’t, it’s going into my cart to try.

While some are only a few bucks off, it’s worth it if you need to stock up anyway. Some sections, like home, on the other hand, actually have some killer deals—my beloved Revolution toaster is $80 off and my bookshelf is only $40.

Amazon is not my typical go-to for fashion (sorry not sorry), but every once in a while, I’ll find a real gem (exhibits A through H below).

We’ve officially entered the summer season, which means you’re no doubt busy filling up your shopping carts with raffia, straw and woven handbags galore. But fashion never sleeps, and before you know it, you’re going to be needing something a bit…cozier. That’s why I’m going to let you in on a little secret: The best suede bag I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning (thank you, J.Crew!) is currently on sale for nearly 50% off, and you’re going to want to snag it before fall rolls around.

Dubbed the J.Crew Berkley shoulder bag, this top-rated style is just the right amount of, well, everything. The oversized crescent shape makes for the perfect size for carrying your lot: I can comfortably fit a book, a pair of flip-flops, sunglasses, a Kindle, a tank top, my phone, a pair of nipple covers, an eye shadow palette and a tube of lotion in here with room to spare. (I tested it!) That said, it’s not so big that it overwhelms my 5-foot 2-inch frame—a common issue I tend to have with other shoulder bags.

The rich, chocolatey brown Cocoa Berry hue is right on trend (Marie Claire said so), and the detailing on this piece is absolutely stunning—fashion historians will appreciate the special nod the brand gave to its roots with the oar-shaped details at the base of the handles, which harken back to J.Crew’s ’80s and ’90s labels.

Inside, you’ll find a large back pocket (your Kindle can fit inside) and a roomy card holder—a dream for all my fellow type As.

It’s even just the right price. Unlike the similarly shaped Ralph Lauren Polo ID suede bag, which will run you a cool $848 (in this economy? No ma’am!), this one is far more affordable at its original price of $148. Factor in the currently 43 percent discount, and you can get it for just $85. (And newsflash? For real suede with leather detailing, that’s an absolute bargain!)

I have but two gripes about this bag, and I’m so in love with every other aspect of it, I’m overwilling to overlook both.

The first is that the gold buckle, while plenty heavy duty, takes a bit of effort to snap. Not because it’s too tight to fit the button clasp or anything that’s *actually* problematic, but because despite being magnetic, it doesn’t always line up properly on its own—I have to really stop and look at it to  guide the two closure pieces together.

The second is that the bottom isn’t super structured, which can make it hard to stand the bag up when it’s empty. As such, I’ve taken to hanging it on a hanger instead of keeping it upright on a shelf.

All in all, however, it’s a very small price to pay for having such a beautiful piece at my disposal.

I highly recommend snatching this baby up—before it sells out.

Walmart is having a fashion *moment.* Between the Walmart Birkin bag that caught fire last month and its celebrity collabs (Beautiful by Drew is so legit), the mega-retailer went from a style ick to a style “it,” and seemingly overnight. Finding the holy grail Wirkin (IKYK) at Walmart isn’t as simple as say, scrolling through the virtual racks at Nordstrom, though. In addition to the retailer’s own goods, there’s a ton of third-party sites that sell through the mega-store, making its search results a hellish hodgepodge of chaos.

The key to finding the best Walmart fashion finds, as it turns out, is to shop by brand. Pick the right ones, and you’ll bypass the $5 bargain bin specials for far more chic territory. (Yes, I said “chic.”) Free Assembly and Scoop, for instance, are a great place to start, considering the brands’ creative director is Brandon Maxwell. (You know, the guy who designed Lady Gaga’s jaw-dropping white pantsuit at the 2016 Oscars? Yeah. He’s got his own Walmart lines now, and they’re pretty f-ing fab).

Also on point in the style department? Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara (naturally) and Time and Tru, which makes some trendier accessories. At the end of the day, style is style, regardless of whether it costs $26, like this patch pocket dress I just picked up, or $129. *Shrugs.*

If you’re still on the fence, you can try out Walmart’s“choose my model” feature, which appears on the photo of some of the items, to get a feel for what the item will look like on your body type. I’m also a big fan of the video function where it’s available, which shows the items up close and personal. (If they look cheap, it’s going to show.) Another pro tip? Change the color of the item you’re shopping to make sure you’re not being distracted from imperfections by a bright hue.

Below, 17 items I think are just as fashion-forward as Revolve. (I said what I said.)

The Best Walmart Fashion Finds

1. Scoop Faux Suede and Shearling Vest

If I didn’t know better, I’d guess this was a True Religion or a Blank NYC find. Sure, the suede and shearling trim are faux, but as an animal lover, that’s just fine by me. Walmart shoppers say this vest runs a little large, but since you’re likely to be pairing it with a sweater, you’re probably gonna want it have a little room anyway.

2. Free Assembly Sleeveless Sweater Dress

The way I snatched this dress up so fast! The patch pockets and gold buttons are giving J.Crew (at bare minimum), but it’s not so fancy you can’t throw it in the wash. I’m also obsessed with the “Invigorating Melon hue,” which will be a godsend on a dreary gray day. (So, all of them in winter.) I was really happy with the quality for the price, too (it’s the dress I’m wearing above, if you couldn’t tell)—so much so that I immediately ordered it in navy upon receipt.

3. Time and Tru Two-Tone Watch

I’m officially in my watch era, and while I usually prefer my accessories to be on the maximalist side, I’m very into a dainty watch, like this one from Time and Tru. While you can resize it, it’s best for larger wrists, since it’s supposedly a huge pain to resize. (It is $13, after all, it’s bound to have a few flaws.)

4. Free Assembly Mock Neck Top

Simple silhouettes look great at any price. Case it point? This darling little mock neck. It’s $12, but with those black-and-white stripes, it could pass for Sézane. (So French!). The cotton and spandex blend will feel like any other (pricier) shell in your closet, and it’s long enough to cover the button on your pants (a personal must).

5. Free Assembly Wide-Leg Chinos

I am not one of those ultra-cool TikTok girlies who can pull off relaxed dress pants like these (namely  because they’ll drown my 5-foot 1-inch frame, a fact the handy Walmart “choose your model” tool confirmed), but if you’re tall (and brat) enough to pull them off, these are a steal. They’re mostly cotton (read: machine washable) and also come in a neutral olive.

6. Free Assembly Pocket Cardigan

Cardigans have been growing on me in recent years (probably because I’m always frigid, even in usually sunny Florida), and I ordered this one immediately upon sight for the bold hue and gold-button detailing. It’s supposedly super soft, but I’ll be the judge of that when it arrives in March. (This baby’s on pre-order.)

7. Free Assembly Puffer Jacket

Puffers and I don’t typically get along—they’re a little too “sporty” for my vibe. Something about the colors of this one spoke to me, though. It looks just as cute in the real-life photos as it does on the model (always a tell-tale sign of a good buy), and It’s made entirely of polyester, which means it will be warm easy to clean. Shoppers say it does run large, though, so keep that in mind when ordering. Honestly, even if you absolutely hate it, it’s $16, so no harm done. *Shrugs*

8. Free Assembly Textured Cardigan

This sweet little cardi has a few little extras that keep it from being basic and blasé—namely, the little puff sleeves and the textured stitching, which make it look far pricier than it actually is. It comes in three classic colors and hits at the hip. It’s not the softest, according to reviews, but again, at $22, complaints are minimal.

9. MoXunLXJ Cubic Zirconia Necklace

The main problem with cheap jewelry? It tends to turn your skin green. But this little beauty is nickel-free (a common Kermit-inducing culprit) and made with hypoallergenic recycled materials, with no copper listed. (Another common Kermit-ifer.) I also like the cubic zirconia detailing, which give it a little extra somethin’ somethin.’ It’s on the smaller side, but if delicate is your vibe, it’ll be right up your alley.

10. Vekdone Faux Leather Jacket

Yes, this jacket has a few iffy reviews — namely those calling out that it’s not super high-quality. But guys. It’s $19.  How much quality can really be expected of a faux leather jacket at that price? Is it going to last you forever or feel super luxe? No. But is the fitted cut and deep rich brown color going to look super cute in your Insta photos? Yup.

11. Weardear Button-Down Blouse

A basic button-down not only says “Hi, I’m Parisian,” it makes for a haute cover-up in the warmer months, effectively pulling double duty. This one gets extra style points for the smart stripes and lightweight feel.

12. Eke Leather Handbag

If I were a betting woman, I’d put money down that this little Eke bag will be the next “Wirkin.” (That’s Walmart Birkin, if you haven’t been following.) It’s made of the same leather, it’s around the same price point, and it has a similar shape and design. It also comes in a ton of colors, though I’m partial to the brighter ones, like this lime green.

13. Free Assembly Polo Sweater

This looks just like a Bloomingdale’s polo I just picked up for more than three times the price. (*Shakes fist at the sky.) It’s a bit thinner than mine, but honestly, that’s probably perfect for spring. It’s made of a similar material blend as the dress I’m wearing above, which is not the softest thing I’ve ever felt, but not itchy, either, and it’s machine washable, too.

14. Scoop Aviator Jacket

There’s been something of a resurgence of the aviator jacket in recent years (just ask Bella Hadid), and while this one is on the pricier side for Walmart, it’s still a steal compared to most. People say it looks far more expensive than it’s $54 bones, and you won’t have to do much to clean it, since it (shockingly!) goes in the wash. It’s apparently also plenty warm, which is good news this time of year.

15. Time and Tru Layered Bangle Bracelet

To know me is to know I love a chunky bracelet, and this one is just the sort to catch my eye. Despite it ringing in at just $6, nearly 100 Walmart shoppers have given it a dang-near 5-star review on account of its lightweight feel and stretchy fit. One hazard to watch for? It pulls at the arm hair, say shoppers, so maybe best over a long-sleeve.

16. Cupshe Plaid Mini Skirt

Cupshe is a brand I was already familiar with outside of Walmart, so I’m fairly confident that the quality is gonna be decent. The plaid print is tailor-made for a coffee date (just try and tell me it doesn’t scream “PSL,” just try!) and it’s made of polyester, which has heat-retaining properties. With tights, it should carry you through the rest of frigid season just fine.

17. Scoop Scrunch-Sleeve Blazer

Long-gone are the days when blazers were just for business. (Ahem, Lauren Sanchez). Paired with jeans and a lacy little corset top, it’s become the go-to look of choice for date night and beyond. I love the burnt sienna (who remembers that crayon?) hue of this one and the fact that it’s relaxed, but not boxy.

You know how they say “Those who can’t do, teach?” Those who can’t shop, window shop. And sans for a quick dip in the Gulf of Mexico during which a dolphin swam right past me in shallow water (true story!) and a beer over at Whiskey Joe’s, that’s exactly what I’ve been doing all weekend long, despite my lack of funds. Unlike Prime Day or Black Friday (both big sales I shop for my job as a Commerce Director), Labor Day fashion sales are particularly prime for the picking. Not only are stores looking to clear out their old summer inventory, many are also offering discounts on the new fall goods, too. The bad news? Most of these sales end at midnight, which means you don’t have a whole lot of time left to shop them. The good news? I already scoured them for all the best items.

Since time is short, you’ll want to dive right in: These are the eight sales worth your time—and the items worth buying from them. A few will inevitably be extended, giving you a few more hours to get the goods (though given stock, I’d get them earlier than later).

The discount at Abercombie & Fitch isn’t huge—25 percent with an extra 15 percent off through tonight, Sept. 4—but it doesn’t need to be. Marcella NYC is a brand you’re not likely to see on every other Labor Day sales list out there—namely because most people have never heard of it. Having ordered several pieces from it now, however (I own both the Cara top and the Marcy top, both of which are part of the sale), I can confirm it’s definitely worth a look. The pieces are well-made, reasonably priced and offer something just a little bit unique—which is one of the reasons it’s quickly becoming a favorite. Through tomorrow, Sept. 5, it’s offering discounts between 15 to 50 percent sitewide. You’ll also get a cute little canvas tote when you spend $100 bones.

Technically, Nordstrom isn’t having a Labor Day sale so much as a “summer sale”—end date TBD. While this sale, which offers an extra 30 percent off clearance items through tonight, Sept. 4, isn’t the most amazing I’ve seen from the company, I’m intrigued by this Gracia dress, now less than $100, and this adorbs little Varsity jacket.
