There are sales—and then, there’s the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: a.k.a. the granddaddy (mommy? Mamacita?) of all fashion sales.
While it technically started on July 8 in the throes of all of the Amazon Prime Day hullabaloo, access to the sale dates is tiered. Nordstrom shoppers who spend $15,000 or more per year at the store shop first, followed by those who spend $5,000 per year, then $500, then the general public. (Currently, it’s open to everyone and runs through Aug. 3.)
That means things can get picked over, fast. Every year, this sale seems to sell out quicker and quicker—particularly if you wear a smaller size. As returns start to happen from the first wave of shoppers, however (a.k.a. right about now!), your options start to broaden.
A word of advice? If you’re shopping this sale for things for your end-of-summer vacay to Bora Bora, you’re probably going to be sorely disappointed. That’s because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is actually a preview of what will be up for grabs come fall. (Think outerwear, sweaters, boots and the like.) Basically? It’s the best of what’s to come, but at a huge discount.
Considering that there are 3,457 items to comb through (I counted! *Wink, wink), finding the best of the best does call for some professional help. Lucky for you, I’ve not only been shopping this event for years for work (I’m a former Commerce Director for Purewow and a former deals editor for USA TODAY), I headed to the actual in-person store to try on everything I could get my hands on above and beyond the things that I had shipped.
Below, my top sale picks for Nordstrom Anniversary 2025.
Best In-Stock Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2025 Deals
1. Nordstrom Cashmere Lounge Set
Do I think this set is overpriced? Yes. Do I also think it’s absolutely gorgeous and a dream to wear? Yes. While I swim in most wide legs, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the XS set fit, making this an instant sale favorite. (I would fall for the pricey stuff—hmmph!)

2. Zella Straight-Leg Pants and Sweatshirt
Normally, this would not have been something I jumped to purchase—I’ve found the brand to be OK at best—but one of my favorite influencers swore up and down that if she could only repurchase one thing from the sale, this set would be it. I chose to trust her and I’ve gotta say, it lives up to the hype: It’s that perfect mix of comfy-yet-flattering.

3. Sam Edelman Suede Lucca Loafer
These are currently completely sold out in the chocolate brown hue I tried them in, but other colors are still available. They were plenty comfortable—the heel is super soft and not very rigid, so it folds down as you slip your foot in for a luxe touch. While I don’t wear loafers often, I kind wish I had scooped them up.

4. BP. Oversize Sweatshirt
I’m a sucker for a good graphic sweatshirt, and the burgundy hue of this one really drew me in. While it’s not the most memorable item I bought from the sale—it’s a little slubby around the mid-section and the comfort level is standard—it’s cute enough that for $30, I won’t be sending it back. (Petites, there is an XXS if you prefer a more fitted look—I’m wearing the XS.)

5. Nordstrom Wool and Cashmere Sweater
I know the influencers have been raving about this one, but it was just OK for me. This is the XS, and as you can see, it’s still pretty oversized. I like my sleeves a bit longer, but the midsection just kind of hung loosely in a way that wasn’t ultra-chic or flattering. It actually looks better here than it did in the Chocolate Brown hue that I ordered, but for $160 on sale, it didn’t wow me enough to keep.

6. PJ Salvage Short Pajamas
After three years, these über-bright pj’s are my concession that yes, I live in the sunshine state. They’re made from a jersey material (my absolute favorite) and the shorts are elastic without bitng into my waist. If we’re being totally honest, I’ve had them on as an outfit all day and I’m about to wear them to bed. *Shrugs*

7. Rag & Bone Peyton Jeans
If you missed out on the Mother Hustlers in your size, these are a great alternative for petites. The wash on the Mothers is a bit more versatile, but these hit where they were supposed to on me (read: the ankle and not 2 miles past my foot) and gave a nice silhouette. They’re also (slightly) cheaper than the Mothers I bought.

8. Petal & Pup Bella Vest
Technically, this one’s not part of the Anniversary Sale, but it is still discounted. It was also love at first sight—I knew I was going to love it on from the moment I grabbed it off the rack. The kind of crossover shirt that works for both work and play, I feel like I’ll get a lot of use out of this one—particularly since it has the sleeveless silhouette for warmer temps. (Pst: There’s also a matching skirt though I like this one best with jeans.)

9. AllSaints Suede Moto Jacket
If you ask me, this is one of the best deals in the whole sale. It’s a closet staple, so you’ll be getting years of use out of it, and this is the only time you’re likely to see it discounted. (I got the black leather Dalby in the sale last year, and it’s been priced upwards of $500 ever since.) I *almost* wish I had waited until this year to pick this one up—the green suede is honestly just *so* chic.

10. Open Edit Shortie Pajamas
I didn’t bother buying this set, because I went so feral on last year’s version, I have a very similar three-piece in almost every color. (Which should tell you exactly how much I absolutely love it.) It’s *the* perfect getup for lounging around on a rainy Sunday. It’s comfy, you can take the cardigan off in the summer or layer up in the winter and it looks put together enough to sign for a package. It’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever bought from Nordstrom, and I’d highly encourage you to scoop one up before it sells out.

11. Steve Madden Suede Ira Mules
These are cute in person—like, really cute. Apparently, they’re not great to walk in (I only briefly tried them on my foot enough to say they run ½ size large), but this pointed style of shoe rarely is: They’re more for the aesthetics.

12. Karl Lagerfeld Faux Shearling Coat
These days, I don’t worry about things like coats (Florida will do that to a person), but if I still did, I’d be doing a double take at this Karl Lagerfeld number: Of all of the Anniversary Sale outerwear, it was the only piece that really intrigued me. It’s just as well that I can’t wear it, however—it looks like a tall woman special.

13. Dolce Vita Leather Tarren Boots
“Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before”—that’s what becomes of my brain when I look at these boots. Since I sadly have nowhere to wear them, I’m going to need one of you to pick them up in the cranberry and allow me to live vicariously through you. They also come in a short version in a dark brown suede if that’s more your bag.

14. SolaWave Wrinkle Retreat Light Therapy Mask
Somehow, some way, I’ve escaped the light therapy mask trend so far, but I feel my time has finally come. This one, which has the same red light in your handy palm-size SolaWave for a larger surface area, is supposed to fight fine lines, wrinkles and stimulate collagen production.
15. AllSaints Leather Ryder Jacket
This is just such a badass design. I’m skeptical that it will work for petites, but for the Billie Eilish types who can get away with making the most oversized of garments look effortlessly cool, this is a major “yes.” It’s also AllSaints, so you know the quality is worth the spend.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2025 Deals with Limited Stock
The below items ether have very limited stock or are currently sold out, but don’t lose hope—this sale is notorious for its mass returns each year that just might net you exactly what you’re after. A pro tip? Make a wish list for back-in-stock emails and check back often for your size—I’ve already scored two things that were previously unbuyable.
16. Open Edit Sweater Tank
This is one of those items that’s so much better in person than it is online—the photographs simply don’t do it justice. It’s such a great little basic, and it’s worth every penny of its discounted price. That said, the sizing is definitely off on this one. It’s only left in the xtra-small sizes because It’s tiny—like, really tiny. Mortal humans will need to size up in order to squeeze into it.

17. The Mother The Hustler Jeans
For years—I’ve heard—and ignored the Mother hype. You know, fool me once and all. (Ahem, Agolde shorts). But I had to concede that when I put these on they were the best-fitting jeans I’ve come across in a long, long time. I like the way they hug my curves and they weren’t absurdly long. Psst—these ones are similar and still available!

18. Dolce Vita Malin Suede Hobo
This suede Dolce Vita hobo is the first thing that caught my eye in this year’s Anniversary Sale catalog and the very first thing I added to my cart before it inevitably sold out. (This isn’t my first rodeo.) Considering that I already have a perfectly gorgeous brown suede shoulder bag, it definitely isn’t something I needed (though technically, this one’s much larger), but I couldn’t help myself. I will likely keep it for the size—it’s a good in-between bag that I don’t have a lot of.

19. Nordstrom Suede Shirt
This suede shirt might’ve set a record for quickest Anniversary Sale sellout. The Tiktok girlies went absolutely rabid for this suede button-down shirt and it was gone before the influencer preview sale even ended. I do like the burnt sienna hue (who remembers the crayon? Just me?), but I think there are probably better options with a more flattering fit—this looks huge—out there. Still, even though I suspect I would absolutely drown in this, scarcity sparks demand, and they’ve gotten me curious enough to at least try it on should it pop back into stock…

20. WAYF Emery Vest
This is one of my favorite silhouettes, particularly come fall. The capped sleeves are immensely flattering on my arms, which admittedly aren’t the buffest, and the “hint of wool” (it’s truly a hint at six percent) isn’t itchy in the slightest. This is another one that sold out way too fast, but will undoubtedly be coming back into stock as people make their exchanges

21. Longchamp Le Pliage Leather City Tote
Between the discounted price and the of-the-moment burgundy hue, I’m not shocked this one sold out almost instantly. It’s a classic, and having worn a Longchamp of this size in the past, I can also attest that it’s the perfect carry-on size for all your fall travels.

22. JW Pei Medium Hana Tote
JW Pei’s Hana was hailed as one of the *it* bags of fall 2024, and this year, the brand upped the ante with an exclusive to Nordstrom suede burgundy texture. Needless to say, there was no chance of keeping it stocked, and I’ll have to continue to bide my time or when I finally get to review this beauty.

23. Rag & Bone Alix Carryall
OK, OK—not only is this bag not part of the Anniversary Sale, it’s not even on sale: I just think it’s really, really good for the price, especially if you happen to live in a warmer climate. Not too big or too small, it’s just the right size for day-to-day errands, and the cotton canvas is giving major quiet luxury vibes. It even comes with a removable zip pouch! I liked it so much, I’m contemplating sending the Dolce Vita back to get this instead—TBD.
