They say you get what you pay for, and in many cases, this is true: Just ask anyone who’s ever flown Spirit Airlines. (Never again). But then, there are those rare, shining moments when you find something that does exactly what it’s intended to do while looking downright chic—all for a significantly lower price point than it has any business being. That, my friends, is the case with the best patio furniture on Amazon.
While a good patio set on West Elm or Serena & Lily will run you around $1,000 (believe me, I’ve looked), there are plenty of luxe-looking options on Amazon, the majority of which are $350 or less.
True, if you’re looking for something to outfit a large outdoor space or, say, a dining set for 10, Amazon probably isn’t where it’s at. Though the site does stock a few larger conversation sets, most reviews call out how small/short they are, so you’re better off investing in something that will actually suit your needs. For smaller outdoor spaces like mine, however—think a shared condo balcony with room for a little table and chairs set or a screened-in lanai where I can sip my morning coffee (OK, fine, my afternoon coffee), Amazon furniture will not only get the job done, it will look damn chic doing it.
Yes, you’ll need to replace it more often (or at least the cushions). But unless you’re really beating the hell out your furniture, you can get away with using it for years before it really starts to show any heavy-duty wear and tear.
So. How do you find the patio furniture on Amazon that will actually look and feel as nice in person as it does in the online photos? I personally head straight to the reviews. Not to the comments, mind you, which can be a breeding ground for the internet’s Karens, but to the photo reviews. You’ll get a much better idea of an item’s quality by looking at real-life photos of it in someone’s yard than you will from the staged pics. Generally, furniture to avoid will have cushions that look cheap and flat, “wicker” that’s akin to straight up plastic and pieces that appear to be just the right size — for Thumbelina.
To avoid those undesirables, I only included options on this list with ratings of 4.2 stars or more (sans for one I’m willing to gamble on) that have a decent amount (50 or more) reviews, lowering the chances that the company is stuffing its ratings with fake ones. (You can also use Fakespot to see this). I also used my investigative journalism skills (read: I checked out the customer pics), materials (solid wood and PE rattan, which looks like wicker but is far more durable, are great choices) and more to ensure you’re actually getting what you pay for.
The results are in below—you’re welcome!
1. Best Choice Products Wicker Egg Chair
Everything in my body wants to be curled up in this wicker egg chair with a Bridgerton novel. (Insert shameless plug for my most recent PEOPLE article on the show’s historical accuracy here.) It’s got a stand, so you won’t need to d*ck around with hanging it (who has the time?) and the cushions look nice and thick, even in real customer photos. According to the company, it’s also nice and oversized. (Yes, tall people, you, too, can enjoy its eggy comfort.)
- Rating: 4.6 stars
- Comes with: Oversized chair, four removable cushions
- Materials: Steel, wicker and polyester
- Features: Water- and UV-resistant, removable cushions
2. Joivi Chaise Lounger Set
If pool lounging’s more your vibe, these elegant chaise loungers will be right up your alley: They look like something straight out of Palm Royale. (Go watch it, it’s fab.) While I do think the cushions should be a little thicker for the price, Amazon shoppers say they’re comfy enough, and you can dress them up with a few added outdoor throw pillows or even swap them out, since they’re removable. You can also adjust them to your liking with five available positions.
- Rating: 4.2 stars

- Materials: Steel and PE rattan
- Features: Weather-resistant, anti-slip foot pads, removable cushions, five positions

Frankly, at $115, this little loveseat is a goddamn steal. For less than I paid for my last purse, you can own this two-person seat plus two ottomans that can double as side tables, cushions for the entire set and three alternate cushion covers. At just over 43 inches long, it’s definitely made for a smaller patio or balcony (we’re talking NYC apartment balcony size), but if you need more space for your guests, you can also pick up the matching conversation set for just over $150.

This little collection is everything you need to live the luxe life on a budget. A clue that it’s a cut above your run-of-the-mill set? The finer details: note the widened armrests on the chairs and the striped little throw pillows that come along for the ride. The ottomans can also double as extra seats if you’re in a bind. (I should mention that if you care to spring for the slightly larger seven-piece set, $340, you’ll get two extra seats and a table.) Bonus? It comes with all the tools you’ll need to put it together.

Can you say Amalfi coast vibes? This gorgeous blue bistro set is your sign to transform your patio into a chic Positano bistro. The cheaper beige version ($162) has plenty of reviews to speak of, plus the photos to back it up, and spoiler alert: It’s gorgeous in person, too. Not into the look of PE rattan? Try this sweet little loveseat that’s made of solid acacia wood. The included cushions are also UV-resistant to keep them from fading in the sun.
- Rating: 4.4 stars

7. Pamapic Patio Dining Set
This seven-piece set is larger than I’d likely ever have need for (…she types as she contemplates buying a third dining chair solely for her cat), but hostess types will appreciate the fact that they won’t need to pull out that dumpy old corner stool for the plus-one who did not RSVP. Hell, you might even be able to fit the nuggets in without putting them through the terrible rite of passage that’s known as the kids’ table! (Then again, why rob them of the experience?) Each chair has non-slip feet adjusters, so you won’t be cursing it every time you set a drink down, and the table features an umbrella hole, so if you live in Florida, as I do, you can get a little reprieve from the punishing, punishing sun above.
- Rating: 4.3 stars
- Comes with: Dining table and six chairs
- Materials: PE rattan and metal
- Features: Adjustable legs, machine washable cushions, umbrella hole

9. Joivi Patio Set
Don’t’ want the same patio set as every neighbor in your cul-de-sac? This little collection, which is handcrafted from two different types of faux rattan and PE wicker, should do the trick. It’s got a unique weave that looks distinguished (and expensive), but will run you less than $250 for all five pieces (which, by the by, include two armchairs, two ottomans for your dogs and a chic little side table).
- Rating: 4.6 stars

10. Leveleve Conversation Set
This baby features two ottomans that tuck right underneath the chairs if you’re short on space. (And aren’t we all?) It’s undoubtedly preferable to the all-to-common alternative, which is to make the chairs so small even Baby Bear would scoff at them. There’s also a chic little glass-top table that will be perfect for resting your Mai Tai on.
- Rating: 4.5 stars
- Comes with: Two chairs, two ottomans and a coffee table

Made in the shade? Sure seems that way! This 10-foot solar umbrella is positively stacked with features. There’s a push-button tilt to adjust your coverage with the sun’s rays. A simple crank handle to get the canopy up and down. A water-resistant and UPF50-certified shade. You can even use it when the sun goes down, since, according to the company, the attached solar LED lights stay aglow for between six to seven hours. Did I mention that more than 23,000 — yes, thousand — Amazon shoppers have already been absolutely delighted by this little beauty?

- Comes with: 10-foot umbrella (base not included)
- Materials: Concrete, metal
- Features: Solar LED lights, detachable pole, crank handle, water-resistant fabric, UPF50-certified canopy, push-tilt
12. Kante Fire Pit Bowl
Sure, you could spend $1,400 (on sale) on a concrete fire pit bowl to make your outdoor space look like an Architectural Digest spread — or, you could sacrifice a bit of size (about 17 inches worth) to get a damn-near identical one for $282. I won’t lie: It is a risker buy than the others on account of its 3.3-star rating, which seems to largely be due to an issue with some units from users who say the flame won’t stay lit. But honestly? At this price? I’m willing to take my chances. It comes with a free cover and propane regulator (you’ll have to buy the propane separately), and you can adjust the fire level in case you get too warm.
- Rating: 3.3 stars

This table has four hidden attachments under each edge with two bowl-shaped “holders” that can be used as drink rests, a place for your napkins or straw wrappers or anything else you need it for. It’s equipped with other niceties, too, like the umbrella hole at the center and the adjustable foot pads that will help to keep it stable. The chairs are ventilated for a good breeze (aah!) and they come complete with the quaintest little tie-on cushions you ever did see.

14. Asiform Lounge Chair Set
This chair appeals to my restlessness. Never am I moving around more than when I’m laying — and usually overheating — by a pool, and these loungers, which can be adjusted in five different positions, offer plenty of options for getting comfy. You won’t have to worry about your legs hanging off over the edge if you’re on the taller side, either, since they’re nearly 6.5 feet long. The one catch? You’ll have to buy cushions separately if you want them, but honestly, you’d probably be fine with a beach towel, too. *Shrugs.*
- Rating: 4.5 stars
- Comes with: Two lounge chairs
- Materials: PE rattan, steel
- Features: Five positions, non-slip legs, tall
15. Erommy Swivel Rocker Set
You caught me: I chose these swivel patio chairs because they’re easy on the eyes. But what’s so wrong with that? That said, there is more to these beauties than their aquamarine blue cushion covers (which, I should mention, are removable for washing). The chairs (you get two) are hand-woven, for one thing. They glide back and forth, another. And they’re built with anti-rust screws and weather-resistant materials to give you plenty of bang for your buck.
- Rating: 4.3 stars
- Comes with: Two chairs and a table
- Materials: PE rattan, metal and
